Processing Power - ProLight+Sound preview...
After the massive power-up last year with United Brands taking over the helm in Germany (and so also at ProLight and Sound!) we are settling into our fantastic new space in Hall 8, F60 this year with a great new stand and a theme of “Processing Power”.
With APA taking centre stage at the show this year, and its first outing at PL+S, the adaptive processing amplifier that is the APA-4E8 will be live and running with both the Windows and Mac software for remote control. You’ll also be able to see and hear the amps in action in the Funktion One demo room powering their incredible PSM Floor Standing DJ Monitors. Considering our reputation for top quality processing, we now aim to match that with power! The APA can deliver incredible levels of sustained power – not just minuscule bursts – meaning all that careful tuning of the system sounds great at any level.
We will also have a sneak preview of our iPhone app to control the DC1048, no need to fit remote wall panels when there’s complete (and locked down if necessary) control from your phone. This makes the DC1048 even more adaptable and useful in a multitude of install applications.
5 Series will be on the stand too including the DP544: For all those applications where the main focus is the dynamic EQ, changing the I-O count to four inputs and four outputs makes sense – the DP544 will then fit in perfectly when considered as an in-line processor or insert processor. Imagine the top quality power available when two units are combined with a DS8000D running digitally at 96k directly into a pair of DP544s – superb mic preamps, and a digital signal chain of top quality equalisation and dynamics with remote control!
We will, of course, be on hand to support all our products, including 4 Series, DC1048 installation management, the DS8000 and the DS8000D digitally enabled audio distribution, as well as live connected AudioCore and iCore.
